Since Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP) both have their own versions of exclusive Pokémon, you must trade to refresh your Pokédex. After unlocking the National Illustrated Book, there will be more than 493 Pokémon in BDSP, so the transaction will help you achieve your goals faster.

Like previous Pokémon games, many people use trading as an opportunity to obtain shiny Pokémon, mythical Pokémon, or other rare creatures. This is how it is done.

The Global Room section of Union Room allows you to trade Pokémon with players all over the world. Or, if you want to trade with a specific friend, just take out an eight-digit code, enter it, and then trade with your friend. This is how it is done.

My guess is that it will arrive at the same time as Pokémon HOME compatibility.

Pokémon HOME is a special service used in conjunction with Nintendo Switch Pokémon games, so players can transfer their catches to or from various Switch games. However, it currently does not apply to Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The Pokémon Company has stated that it will add compatibility sometime in 2022, but has not given an exact date.
